In a landscape of accelerated change and heightened competition, Tesco has embarked on a transformative journey to redefine its operational and strategic capabilities. Integral Agility has been pivotal in orchestrating this transformation, embedding agility, and resilience across all facets of the organisation. The interventions lead to a fast growth in agile maturity across different Squats.

The Challenge of Project

Navigating the complexities of aligning organisational strategies with rapidly changing market dynamics and operational requirements presents a significant challenge. When starting with a large-scale organizatinal change process, such as an agile transformation, a widespread need of foundational understanding of agile approach and methodologies is emerging in short time and needs to be addressed professionally to prevent inefficiencies and slow adaptation of the agile way of working. The successful execution of these sessions led to a significant increase in agile maturity across all departments.

Our Contribution to the Project

To support the creation of a new organization around the online strategy, we worked with them to launch a full end-to-end transformation including leadership development, training programs, coaching, mentoring, and more. We supported the development of effective Ways of Working to establish a harmonious alignment between individual roles and the overarching strategic goals, emphasizing a clear translation of objectives into actionable results through the adoption of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This approach permeates every level of the organization: Organisational level, ‘Value Stream’ level, ‘Squat’ level, and individual level. We educated teams on the objectives and benefits of tools that had been put in place, such as Obeya or Quarterly Business Reviews. Supported by trainings to built solid understanding of agile practices, the organisation has seen improved collaboration, adaptability, and overall efficiency in project execution and daily operations.
